kraft and doilies

hello, hello!  i'm checking in today with some Valentines made from kraft tags.  i used mostly elements from American Crafts' 5th & Frolic and Crate Paper's Fourteen and Paper Heart collections to decorate basic kraft tags.

i cut two different styles of doilies in half to use as a backdrop for these tags.  this one was a red heart which i matched up with some Paper Heart stickers and 5th & Frolic die cuts.  love those pink apples!

the doily here was a 4 inch white paper doily that i hand-dyed using a red stamp pad re-inker.  i just added a couple drops of the re-inker to a bowl of water and soaked the doily in it. i didn't soak it for long and after it was dry, i placed a heavy book on top of it to flatten it out.  very easy!

the fabric brad and aqua label are actually from CP's Sleigh Ride line but they match the rest of the elements perfectly--i love when that happens!

i went sticker crazy on this tag and they are all from Paper Heart.  the ticket is 5th & Frolic.

this tag features another hand-dyed doily and 5th&F die cut.  i also used a small strung heart tag from my own Valentine kit.  ordinary items like the metal clip, tulle, staples, and button are easy and affordable additions.

i used elements from several Crate collections here...the fabric brad is from On Trend, the wood heart button is from Random, and the blue label and pink border stickers are Paper Heart.  again, it's so fun when different products coordinate together so perfectly, don't you think?

i've also used a few pieces from several Studio Calico kits...the vellum arrows, the red heart label on this tag, and enamel dots in the "be my love" tag are all from different kits.  i think i also got the 5th & Frolic die cuts from a kit.  sadly, this is really the first time i've been able to play around with those kits!

that's all for me today, guys.  kinda short on words today, but i've got a lot lined up to get accomplished today.  if all goes well this weekend, we'll be crossing a bunch of baby to-do's off of our list.  here's hoping...

i hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
